Membership Subscription rates from 1st January 2012
Following discussion at the NEC and given the financial situation of the union, it has been decided, in line with Rule 11.5.1 to raise the subscriptions of all members. With inflation currently running at over 5% the NEC determined that we should keep our core rates to a below inflation 4% increase to recognise the financial pressures members are under.
In addition, the political levy paid by those members who are “opted in” has not risen since the inception of the CWU. The levy will therefore rise to 20p per week, (87p per month).
“I” rate = paying political levy “O” rate = opted out of political levy
From 1st January 2012, CWU subscriptions will therefore be as below.

If you believe you are paying the incorrect rate or your circumstances change and a new rate is appropriate, you must inform CWU Head Office as soon as possible as it is national policy not to make refunds otherwise.
